Thank you my sweet husband! He came home today with these beautiful flowers. Of course decorated with a heart. He will go to a show with me tomorrow , so he didn’t get the time to pick up the flowers then, so I got them one day in advance. Aren’t I a lucky girl.

Today the snow keeps coming down like crazy. And the doggies are happy. They have a field day when it’s like this, running around like nuts in the snow and just loving it. Even if they have to go in knee-deep snow, they dont’ mind at all. We first went with Effi, Frida and the three puppies. I brought my camera, and took some pics which you can see under mix gallery. After that round I left the camera at home. The battery went flat. So typical, but I’m sure I will get a chance tomorrow to take more pictures. They got a bit dark, so I tried to lighten them in photoshop. I am not exactly a wiz at this, but I think they are at least more easy to look at now.
Now the doggies are sleeping and are good and tired. After I’m done with this update, I will make something nice to eat, and then watch a movie. The doggies will get their dinner later on tonight, at the moment they are too tired.

We went to a National show this morning, in fact we had to be there at 0900 as we were first breed in the ring. Modesty did very well, and got the CAC and Best of Breed. The critique were very good, and we are of course happy with this result.
We also brought Hellga today, just to let her get used to all the commotion. She was also there yesterday, with Lucifer, and today she thought it was a bit better than yesterday. She doesn’t like to walk around much, but love to meet people. Quite a few came to say hello, and that is always very nice. She’s a little doll.
We were supposed to go back in the afternoon for the finals, but we got so tired after getting up early, stress from the show (always nervous haha), playing with the doggies back home, and eating some good food. So the sofa was more inviting, and we’ve all relaxed the rest of the day.

 :-D  Effi is such a big BABY! She loves to play with her little ones, and she is a fabulous mother. She turned 4 years in August, and I don’t think she will ever grow up haha. She still loves to run after the other doggies lines when we walk them in the woods, and it cracks us up every time. I love to have bordeaux’s in my life, they give us so much fun and joy.

The puppies are doing very good, they keep growing nice and evenly, and are happy and healthy. Next month they will get their second rabies shot, and then we’ll have to wait 120 days to take the bloodtest.

This coming weekend we are going to show Modesty both Saturday and Sunday. I’m looking forward to it, and my husband is also going - this time he offered to go and that made me very happy. It is nice that he wants to shear my big hobby sometimes to. We plan to bring at least one puppy, maybe all three.

Today our M-litter turned 2 years. We hope all have had a great day. Our Modesty sure has!
We always celebrate our dogues’ birthday, and as usual, whipped cream is on the menue together with some other goodies. :-)  We also walked the doggies in the woods as usual. We’ve got some snow again and the dogues loves it and are having a ball.
The dogues have also been very busy in the basement, chasing mice. So far I haven’t seen them catch any, but it keeps them occupied for some hours and they have fun.
I was up late last night preparing the frontpage on our site with pictures of the gang when they were little youngsters. I think it is so lovely to see them as they were at that time.

Once again a Happy Birthday to them all.

It has been an active first couple of weeks in 2009. On January 2nd I went to Gothenburg to visit my friends at Kennel Hjärtekulla, Elisabeth & Jussi. It is always so nice to be there, and we ate good food and had many laughs. On Monday and Tuesday the 5th & 6th we were attending dogshows. On the 5th it was a National show and the 6th and International. The last show drew an entry of 32, most dogs showed and we had a good time. After the show I flew home to my dear ones waiting for me. I always miss them so much when I’m away.

Today we went on a National show here in Norway. I only showed Modesty and she did very well, best female and CAC under Stefan Sinko. A judge I think is well educated on the Dogue and she has already one CAC from him from before. I wasn’t going to attend a lot of shows now at the beginning of the year, but decided that Modesty could do with some ringtraining and she’s doing very well. She had fun today, and that is always the most important thing for me.
We also brought Lucifer to the show today. He went to sleep ringside and didn’t care much, but he didn’t want to walk around. When we left we tried again and this time he walked out by himself. It was easy to see he already felt more comfortable. Next show we will probably bring all three.

In the evening we were invited to my sisters house for dinner - “eating out the rest of Christmas”, and it was very tasty and we had a good time. When we came home we took the doggies out and then fed them. Now it’s nice and quiet in the house, and all the doggies are relaxing (except for Lucifer and Didrik, they are running around outside ).

A very Merry Christmas! 

A big thank-you to Ylva for making our Christmas greeting again this year!

Today we brought Damien’s ashes home. It is a hard day and it is a good day at the same time. Now our boy is home for Christmas…..

Lucifer (Titan) is taking a little nap. He looks quite innocent doesn’t he.

Only 2 weeks left until Christmas….and I haven’t even started decorating my house. All that’s up are the curtains in the kitchen and a couple of flowers. Oh well, I’m sure I will be ready this year too. Tomorrow I am going on the annual trip to Copenhagen with my mother, and I am so looking forward to this trip. We are staying over one night this time, so we get to see Tivoli by night which is decorated with thousands of lights on all the trees. It’s gonna be so much fun.

I hope to make some pics of the doggies next week. Been a bit slow with the updates lately, but I’ll do my best. Don’t stress too much - it will be Christmas no matter what!
