Gone but never forgotten

Alisea

Our beloved Alisea left us Tuesday October 11th 2011, one day before her 6th Birthday

Alisea had been a bit tired for a couple of days, not wanting to eat her food, and hardly went outside. When she peed inside, we took her to the vet, and unfortunately she had pyometra. Normally one would operate and it usually works out fine, but Alisea also had another problem which made this hard for us. She had a huge growth next to her nose, it was beginning to go inside the nose aswell, and increasing in size week by week. It already was further out than the nose, getting more irritated every day. To operate this growth seemed as an impossible thing, as it would involve invasive surgery, skintranslplants, and no guarantee it wouldn't come back. It didn't seem fair to let her go through this big ordeal, so we made the hardest decision. She was the sweetest girl we've ever met, so kind and loving towards everyone. We just had to say her name before she began to wag her tail. She was so special, a big cuddly furball. She loved to sleep on the sofa or in the bed, but was always first in line when we went for walks in the woods.

Before she went to sleep, she washed my entire face, it felt like she said goodbye and thank you for all. I had my arms around her all the time, whispered how much we loved her, and thanked her for the 6 good years we had with her. Rest in peace sweetie, you will be missed. Always in our hearths. Hugs and kisses from Mum and Dad.

Our beloved Frida left us Wednesday 18 May 2011.

She showed signs of being ill on the 15th as her belly began to swell. I was worried it might be a torsion, so I followed her closely the next hours. In the evening she got the runs, but the next day she was ok again, although her tummy was still big. I then suspected hearthproblems, so we decided to take her to the veterinarian. Unfortunately her heart was beating very uneaven and her belly was full of fluids. It was nothing more we could do for her, other than let her go peacefully. She went to sleep very quietly and I cuddled her through it all. She will forever be in our hearts, what a wonderful and happy girl she always was. We used this picture of her with her greatest joy in the world - her beloved tennisballs. Rest in peace our beautiful girl. Hugs and kisses from your Mum and Dad.

Our beloved Hazel left us Monday January 25th 2009

Hazel loved her family, and was a real mummys-girl. If she could be with me, then she was happy. It was terribly hard to let her go, and it still feels hard being without her. She was a very happy, active and athletic girl. She got a tummy torsion, which we operated, but it was not successfull as it torsioned again some months later. We let her go then, she had fought a hard battle.

She is the mother of our first litter - A-litter, and also to our D-litter. She was a fantastic mother and took great care of her babies. Thank's to her, we have Netta and Donatella in our lives.

We will always remember you Hazzelino, rest in peace. Love you. Mum and Dad.

Our beloved Damien left us Tuesday November 18th 2008.

Damien was our first Dogue de Bordeaux. We loved him so much, and still do. He was happy and healthy all his life, until one day he got very sick and we rushed him to the vet. He had acute heartfailure, and all we could do was to say goodbye. It was so hard, but this was the last good thing we could do for him.

He always made us so proud, not only in the showring but also in everyday life. He was one of a kind for sure. Very much a Daddy's boy even if he loved Mum to. Espen and Damien often went on trips together, also camping overnight in a tent. We always felt safe with him by our side.

He fathered two of our litters; A-litter and AG-litter. Luckily we saved some of his sperm, so we will be able to bring some of him back again in the future.

Rest in peace our lovely boy.....You are forever in our hearts. Mum and Dad.

Our beloved Bella was put to sleep today, monday December 29th 2003, only 1 year old. We made the hard decision to let her go now. She had arthroses in both her knees, and no medication could sooth her pain properly anymore. We did our best in cooperation with the veterinarian, but we also decided early that our girl should not suffer if nothing could be done.

She was a wonderful girl. She lived her life in the fast lane and was always a very happy girl. She loved us with all her heart, and we love her and miss her so much.

We are happy to have had the previlege to know Bella, she was a fantastic girl.

Always in our heart and with our family. Mom and dad.
