~Peyrins~
A small report from the French clubmatch in Peyrins, Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th May, 2002. Entered dogs: 180.
We left for France on thursday 22nd May in the afternoon and arrived our cabin on friday in the afternoon. We met up with Bart and Yvonne from Holland in Dijon and drove together the rest of the way. We were not so many people going together this year, but Sara, Joan, Espen, Yvonne, Bart and I had a great time the days we were there. We also met up with Maria and Kalle when they showed up on saturday and we all went out for dinner on sunday.
We went to the exhibition on saturday to see the dogs taking the TAN-test and to weigh and measure our dogs. Only Gina from Bart and Yvonne took the TAN-test this year, and she finished with honours - a total of 4,43 - Excellent.
On sunday it was time to show our dogs. Maria showed Gina for Bart and Yvonne and got an Excellent (46 entered - judge Sylviane Tompousky). Espen showed Bella and got a Prometeur, and Joan showed Bonita and got an Tres Prometeur and finished 3rd in baby puppy class. Well done! We also got an Excellent on Damien (44 entered - judge Rafael Malo Alcrudo) and a very nice critic so we are of course very happy with that. But best of all - Damiens mother - Tosca - became Best Opposite and it was so great to watch Sara and Tosca in action. That dogue sure knows how to move! And Sara gave 100% :-)
We were very tired but very happy when we went out for dinner on sunday nigth, and we found a nice restaurant with great food. On monday morning it was time to pack the car with all our stuff - and some nice throphys - and go home.
Again this year we have had a great experience, and we still feel that nothing compares to this exhibition. So many nice people, very relaxed atmosphere and nice food on the venice. We are already looking forward to next year.
A big thank you to Sara, who - again - arranged booking and car for all of us. :-)
