~Pleguer~

A small report from the French club match in Plerguer, Sunday 15th September, 2002. Entered dogs: 207.

We left from Norway on wednesday september 12th. We arrived at Belburgos 6 hours later and stayed the night there. On thursday we left in the afternoon: Sara, Victoria &Peter, Joan, Gittan, Maria, Kristoffer, Espen and me. We stopped in Denmark to pick up Bonnie and Henrik. Then we went straight to Plerguer, only stopping to fill gas and taking the dogs for small walks. We came to Plerguer on Friday afternoon. We took a quick shower and then we all went out to dinner. We found a cozy restaurant and of course the food was great!

The next day we got up early to go to the exhibion for the TAN-test. There were lots of dogs entering that day, and we all had to weigh and measure our dogs before we could take the test. We stayed there the whole day and just got back to the hotel in time to take a shower before we went on the Official dinner. We were served different corses of duck and salad. It was a great dinner with entertainment, speaches (mostly in French....;-) ) and good food. We didn't get to bed until 1.30 so it was hard getting up the next morning.

Sunday morning at 0915 we arrived at the exhibition. It was a very relaxed atmosphere and I must say I have never been more comfortable at an exhibition. In Damiens class there were entered 18 dogs. The judge was Monsieur Raymond Soulat. Damien ended as number 6 in his class. His brother Herodes got to the Ring d'Honeur and placed himself 3rd. Well done!!!

Maria entered Enya in the Championclass. She got 3rd place. Also well done!!! :-)

Belburgos Elentari and Belburgos Epsylon did not get placed but they got an EXCELLENT. They also got a lot of nice comments from people on how great their dogs looked. Winston (Epsylon) has a GREAT head and people were crazy about him.

Belburgos Isabella (Baby) got an Tres Prometteur in puppyclass. Not bad at all - there were only ONE puppy going to the Ring d'Honeur out of 14 puppies.

It truly was a great experience and we will surely try to go next year as well. In our opinion, nothing can compare to the French club match. We give our congratulations to the Societe des Amateurs de Dogues de Bordeaux for a great exhibition.

And last but not least - again a BIG thank you to Belburgos for all the work they have put in to get us all on our way. You are the best!
